Policies

RETURNS: 

Because our inventory is a mix of old & new, returns are generally considered on a case-by-case basis but the following rules apply:

  • ALL SALES ARE FINAL ON VINTAGE. 
  • New houseware/gift returns may be accepted for store credit.  Original packaging must be included and a 30-day window applies, even if you’ve received the item as a gift.
  • CLOTHING returns must be made within 1 week of purchase and may NOT have been worn.

SHIPPING:

We do not ship furniture.  If you’d like to have it shipped on your own, we’re happy to help you facilitate that.  We also recommend an app called uShip wherein a person traveling picks up the item and delivers it to you.  This would be up to you to coordinate.

For small items: We don’t make a profit on shipping so will estimate the cost to the best of our ability, using the weight and size, and charge you that amount.  It may be a tad over or under but this system generally works for us.

We receive A LOT of boxes and packing materials so we will reuse those items when mailing to you.

BUYING:

In case you haven’t noticed, we are VERY SELECTIVE.  We are likely interested in what you have to sell (assuming it fits our aesthetic) but cannot accommodate random walk-ins.  If you have items to sell, please email us via ampersandoldandnew@gmail.com with a description, cost and photos if you can.  You can also reach us via our Instagram.

We may then schedule a time for you to come in or come to you, which in many cases is easier.
